Brandon + Amanda | Wedding at Bissell Tree House
Brandon and Amanda had a rollercoaster 2 year planning process for their Grand Rapids wedding day. The celebration was originally planned for August 2020 and thanks to Covid, they pushed their wedding at the Bissell Tree House at John Ball Zoo back exactly 1 year to the same Sunday in August 2021.
The wedding day was simple. Surrounded by their families, they did not have attendants, which meant portrait time could focus on the two of them and the amazing location the Bissell Tree House and John Ball Zoo offers.
We hiked through the zoo and they were greeted with “Congratulations” and “Oh mommy, she looks so pretty!” all afternoon long.
A ride up the funicular, family portraits and then guests arrived for the ceremony. Because formal portraits were done prior to the ceremony, Brandon and Amanda were able to enjoy their cocktail hour with guests and enjoy some of the zoo animals that made their way up to the treehouse.
Following cocktail hour, a wonderful meal was next, followed by emotional first dances and great energy on the dance floor to finish out the night.
