Phil + Meg | Grand Traverse Resort Wedding
If you've ever ventured to Traverse City during Labor Day weekend, you know it's a great time of year in Michigan. Now throw in a wedding over the holiday weekend and you are sure to create memories for everyone invited. That's exactly what Phil and Meg did for all those involved in their wedding this past Labor Day. Meg is the event designer for the Grand Traverse Resort and Phil is the Assistant Superintendent for Golf. If you missed how these two met and their snowy, winter engagement photos, be sure to check out the blog post from earlier this year.
Knowing Meg's job is to create and plan weddings and events at Grand Traverse Resort, we knew their wedding day would be spectacular and they did not disappoint. From getting ready in two separate suites at the resort, to a beautiful location for their first look, to all the reception details in a private orchard just north of the resort, their wedding day will go down as one of our favorites of 2013.
Perhaps our favorite series of images was during Phil and Meg's first look at the Resort. Obviously nerves are building on a wedding day, but these two just couldn't wait to see each other. As Meg approached Phil, you can see the excitement in both of their faces. Take a look at the sequence below and you will fall in love with these two immediately.
Their wedding ceremony was held under the Yellow Pavilion Tent at Grand Traverse Resort. The ceremony was intimate and beautiful as these two pledged their lives to one another. Following the ceremony we headed off to downtown Elk Rapids for a few photos. Elk Rapids is Meg's hometown and she's always dreamed of having her wedding photos in the downtown area.
The reception was held on a private orchard just outside of Elk Rapids. Though there was a little rain throughout the day, it didn't stop Phil, Meg or their guests from having a great time. Entertainment for the evening was provided by Scott Perry of 2Bays DJs and the party continued long after midnight!
Be sure to leave a comment below to let Phil and Meg know which photos are your favorites as well!
