Events are Back: Armed Forces Thanksgiving

It’s been a long time since we were able to write about Grand Rapids events, but never fear, the 2021 Armed Forces Thanksgiving was here!

Over the past 6 years the Armed Forces Thanksgiving has been a salute to the military, past, present and future. The events have helped raise over $250,000 for non-profits like the West Michigan Veterans Coalition, the 2020 event was canceled but the 2021 event was held at Veteran’s Park and Michael Durant was featured. His story was documented in the movie Black Hawk Down after being shot down and held as a prisoner of war for 11 days.
