Planning a Grand Rapids wedding from Arizona is not the easiest thing to do in the world. However, Rosie and Kevin put together a tremendous wedding day in June. After meeting Rosie through the referral from Kristin and Ryan, we knew our photography style and Kevin and Rosie's personalities would be a great combination. Little did we know how much fun Rosie, Kevin and their wedding party (along with their family) would be on the wedding day. There were a few tears before the ceremony, but the main emotions were excitement and humor (laughter) with the ladies having a great time! The day started off at Rosie's parent's home in the Hudsonville area where hair and makeup were done and Rosie's family and bridesmaids were hanging out, relaxing as the day began. The ceremony was held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Wyoming where the outdoor green space around the parish was a fantastic backdrop for photos. As you will see, Rosie chose a canary yellow for bridesmaids dresses and lite grey suits for the guys, both of which popped with color against the green backdrop of June's weather.
These two gave us the freedom of choosing the locations to visit between the ceremony and reception with the caveat that we would take photos in the downtown Grand Rapids area. We chose two locations, one ahead of time and the other was a last minute change. Check out the photos below and see if you can figure out where we took Rosie and Kevin, along with the rest of their wedding party.
Following the on site photos, we spent a few minutes walking around Noto's, where the reception was held, because the space is such a great location for photos! Dinner was fantastic and the dance floor was packed all night with friends and family from around the country.
