We were blessed to meet Nate and Katie back in June of last year as they planned their amazing wedding in Grand Rapids. These two were so much fun to work with and we are so grateful to have been a part of their wedding day story. These two planned a beautiful day at Calvary Church in Grand Rapids, which is our home church. We love photographing weddings at Calvary because it feels like a second home to us. The wedding day was perfect for Nate and Katie. Not too hot, not too cold with blue sky as far as the eye could see. After many emotional moments for both Katie and Nate (along with their parents), these two held hands, looked into each others' eyes and pledged their lives to one other.
Following the ceremony, Nate and Katie gave us creative direction on a location around Grand Rapids. Just a few weeks prior we had found a beautiful park in the Cascade area with a backdrop that is nothing less than out of a book like Pride and Prejudice. We took the entire wedding party with us and spent a good amount of time capturing the fun relationships that made Nate and Katie's wedding day such a blast.
Dinner and dancing was followed at the Bissell Tree House at John Ball Zoo. This was a highlight for Nate and Katie since the day we met them and their reception did not disappoint! With great food, music and an amazing view from high above the city, the Bissell Tree House was the perfect location for the final chapter of their wedding day.
