Grand Rapids continues to be a leader when it comes to the integration between higher education and real world experience. There are many events throughout the year in west Michigan, but the ACG Cup is one that brings together the brightest minds in the world of finance and connects them with ACG Western Michigan, a professional association that brings together the resources, capital and professionals involved with corporate growth. ACG Cup is an intercollegiate competition among students from colleges and universities in West Michigan. Student participants gain invaluable experience in a real-world context, receive feedback from leaders in the local business community, expand networks, and compete for a cash prize. During the competition, students analyze complex business cases and present strategies involving merger and acquisition alternatives, valuation, capital markets, finance options, and corporate strategy.
We were asked by ACG Western Michigan to capture both the Graduate (MBA) and Undergraduate competitions. The event was held at the Siedman Business College building at Grand Valley State University and involved over 120+ students, 60+ professionals from the west Michigan community and many more volunteers.
Below is just a sample of the images that ACG Western Michigan has access to for their 2015 photo library. Winners of both the Graduate MBA and Undergraduate competitions were announced at the 2015 Outstanding Growth Awards in March.
Congratulations to all the students who participated and to ACG Western Michigan for continuing the integration of education and the business world in west Michigan.
